THE MOST IMPORTANT EVENTS AND CAREER DECISIONS;
She first realized that handball became her life when she first had to leave home and separate from her family. She wasn’t even 18 yet, and she had to move from Belgrade to Arandjelovac, which was a city that, at the time had great ambitions when it comes to handball. Knjaz Milos had a good team and a serious intent on becoming the state champion, while on the other hand, Radnicki, where she spent two seasons after leaving Belgrade HC, was a club constantly placing somewhere around fourth place, and not being able to get a shot at the championship title. Spending a season in Arandjelovac turned out to be a great decision. She won the state championship title, after which she was presented with a new challenge.
The second time she left home didn’t just mean going to another city, it meant going to another country as well. The Slovenian Handball Club Krim, two-time European champion chose the first draft of the Serbian handball scene as a new addition to their team:
“Deciding to sign a contract with Krim wasn’t too hard for me, and I did it without hesitation because I wanted to make progress, and I was driven by the challenge to get better results, but I will never forget that day when I left my street and watched my house getting further and further away from the back seat of the car. I spent most of my trip in tears.”
